Mesotherapy for Hair Loss?

Mesotherapy is a well-known and widely performed procedure targeting hair loss. It is a non-surgical treatment for hair loss. Mesotherapy has been around a long time, originating in 1952, developed by a French physician Michel Pistor. It is performed by injecting active ingredients and nutrients into the mesoderm of your scalp to help boost hair growth and treat thinning hair/hair loss and improve the overall quality of your hair. Mesotherapy doesn’t require local anesthesia to perform it. To see the results, around 7-8 sessions are recommended. Mesotherapy is a more affordable option.

Hair Loss: PRP or Mesotherapy?

What is PRP? Known as platelet-rich plasma, is a therapy for hair loss. It is, like mesotherapy, non-surgical. It is performed by injecting PRP into many areas around the scalp. Plasma is a component of your blood containing special proteins, that help your blood clot. It also supports cell growth. PRP is produced by isolating plasma from blood and concentrating it. This treatment requires applying local anesthesia to perform it. To see the results, around 7-10 sessions are recommended. It is a relatively new approach.

Both treatments are found to be effective in treating hair loss and encouraging hair growth. Both treatments take around half an hour and don’t require much afterward healing.
